Cynthia Slade had over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry before
becoming involved in the world of computers and networks. The first computer she ever
saw was given to her son by Steve Wozniak. But, it was more than 10 years later that
Cynthia started managing the technology in the office where she was working. In 2000 she
started her own IT consulting business, Shalli.Company, and shortly thereafter became
active in the Small Business IT world. She has organized a full day seminar on Backup and
Disaster Recovery and been a panelist at several IT conferences including IT Pro 2008.
